Event presentation
On October 18th and 19th, 2024, the final transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Transversal Cultural Experiential Skills” was held in Prague. Representatives from Wide S.r.l., in partnership with Zespół Szkół Mistrzostwa Sportowego STAL w Rzeszowie (Sports High School of Rzeszow, Poland), ITM-International Tourist Management s.r.o. (Czech Republic), and Edotto (Italy) were present at the meeting. During this final meeting, the partners discussed the necessary revisions to finalize the publication titled “A new path for the development of communication skills: the experiential cultural heritage.” This publication will summarize the outcomes of the two-year project: following the structure of the project, it will include the stages of implementation, objectives, content of the training, and the various activities carried out by the partners to promote the development of the four transversal skills (collaborative spirit, communication, critical thinking, and creativity) identified through an initial survey of students involved in the training pilot.
The publication will also include an evaluation of the project’s impact on beneficiaries, both in terms of educational outcomes and skill enhancement, as well as the social awareness of the importance of promoting their cultural heritage and engaging in active participation within their community. During the meeting, the partners also discussed how the project helped both the partners and beneficiaries understand how their cultural background is a source of cultural and identity values, which also impact the development of transversal skills, as well as providing opportunities for promoting social inclusion and active participation.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the partners to exchange ideas on how to ensure the future sustainability of the project and the continuity of its results. In this regard, it was proposed to transfer the experiential training to other sectors that could benefit from transversal skills development, such as professional worker training, thus expanding the reach of the training to other areas. The results will also be disseminated to public entities, where there may be interest in providing training opportunities for staff in cultural services and cultural heritage management.
With this meeting, the TCE project concludes, leaving the partners with an enriched collaborative journey, whose European added value was achieved through the meeting of different cultures and methodologies aimed at enhancing the capacities of the organizations involved and the beneficiaries of the intervention. For Edotto, it was an important experience for professional growth, as well as an inspiration to consciously pursue innovative tools in their ongoing research.
